Team tournament

20 registred teams - Online

Registration closed - Tournament begins September 9

The tournament will be played as follow:

  • 20 teams composed of 3 to 4 players (including a team captain)
  • From September 9 to October 6
  • One or two game per week online for qualifying rounds and knockout phase
  • Offline final stage (top 4) in Fribourg area during the winter of 2019

Registrations

 

The teams must be registered before August 31, 2019 and the tournament will start during September 9’ week. A team is composed of 3 to 4 players with the possibility of having a substitute. ESports structure can have as many team as they wish. Each will have a captain which will be the team representative, his role will be the following:

  • Choose a team name
  • Register his teammates (name/surname/battletag)
  • Ensuring that his team is represented by 3 players minimum during games
  • Ensuring a good communication with admins & streamers
  • Send his team’s decklist to the streamers before the games
  • Report the score

Tournament flow 

The tournament will be composed of several groups (drawn) among which the best 8 will reach the 2nd stage. The tournament will be organize in BO5 conquest, 4 decks et 1 class ban (without shield), according to Blizzard’s standard format. The competition will happen like the following:

  • Stage 1 : Group phase

    • Streamed games (defined at the beginning of the tournament) will be played on Wednesdays and Sundays, around 18-20h
    • For the non-streamed games, captain will have to define the date the week before the faceoff.
    • Each team will have to play one or two game per week.
    • Standings: during stage 1, groups’ points will be calculated according to the RD system. Each groups’ first and second will be qualified for the 2nd stage.
  • Stage 2 : Double elimination bracket
    • Streamed games (defined at the beginning of the tournament) will be played on Wednesdays and Sundays, around 18-20h
    • For the non-streamed games, captains will have to define the date the week before the faceoff.
    • Each team will have to play one game per week.
  • Stage 3 : Semi-finals & finals
    • Will be played offline (in the Fribourg area)

Rule

Respect and fair-play will rule the tournament. Admins will ensure everyone behave correctly and keep the rights to attribute def-wins or ban a team in case of undesirable behaviors.

Complaints

Complaints should be addressed to the admin and will only be taken into account if accompanied by game screenshots/replay.

Change in a team

Any change in a team should be notified to the admin beforehand to be validated. Change in a team will be allowed only once per team and before stage 2.This includes (non-exhaustively)

  • Adding or removing players;
  • Change in team name.

Teams’ affiliation

A player can only be part of one single team. Admins will refuse registration in any other case.

Ban

Are banned from the games:

  • Archiviste Elysianna
  • Mystiflix le magnifique
  • Zayle, cape des ombres
  • Deck tracker during offline games (authorized during stage 1 and 2)

 

Any failure to comply with the above rules may result in a penalty ranging from a forfeit to a permanent exclusion.

Games flow

Each game will be played with 3 or 4 players. Each of them will have to be present on the KFStone discord, in a channel that admins will communicate to the captains. Each player must be connected, with an open mic during each game.

Punctuality

Delays will be tolerated only if admins have been notified and it does not exceed 60 min. In any other case, a 15min delay will be accepted before the def-win.
