Team tournament #2

2 to 4-man team - Online

Registration is open. Once you filled the form, you will receive the payment informations. 

Cash prize of 1000 CHF - Inscription fees of 40 CHF.

The tournament will be played as follow:

  • 2 to 4-players teams composed (including a team captain)
  • From June 22 to August 22
  • One or two game per week online for qualifying rounds and knockout phase
  • Offline final stage (top 4) in Fribourg area during August 2020
  • All informations available in the rules section

 

Rules

Registration

Teams must be registered by June 19th and the tournament will begin on June 22nd. A team is composed of 2 to 4 players with the possibility of having a substitute. The eSport structures can have the number of teams they want. The team will appoint a captain who will be the team representative, his role will be as follows:

- Choose a team name (pronounceable, ethical, ...)

- Register your teammates (name / first name / battletag)

- Ensure that the team is represented by a minimum of 2 members during the games.

- Ensure good communication with the administrators and the stream manager.

- Report the score on Discord, in the appropriate channel.

Tournament fees are of 40 CHF per team.

 

Tournament schedule

The tournament will be composed of several groups (randomly drawn) of which only the 8 best teams will go on to stage 2.

Stage 1: Group phase

  • Cast games (defined at the beginning of the tournament) will be played on Sundays around 6-8pm.
  • For non-casted games, the game days will be defined by a discussion between captains the week before the game.
  • Each team will have to play one to two games per week.
  • Ranking: During Stage 1, the points in the groups will be calculated according to the DR system. The first in each group will automatically qualify for the elimination phase as well as the best runners-up to a total of 8 teams. In case of a tie, the Battlefy RD system will be used.

 

Step 2: Double elimination bracket

  • Cast games (defined at the beginning of the tournament) will be played on Sundays around 6-8pm.
  • For non-casted games, the game days will be defined by a discussion between captains the week before the game.
  • Each team will have one game per week.

 

Stage 3: Semi-finals and final

Will be played offline in the canton of Fribourg as far as possible. If unfortunately this option would not be possible, this step will be played online. The admins will make sure to inform the concerned parties as soon as possible.

Match procedure

Each match is played with teams of 2 to 4 players only. In case of a cast, these teams will have to be present on the Discord KFStone, in the channel that the admins will communicate to the captains.

Rules

The tournament will be governed by fair play and decorum. The admins will ensure that these two aspects are respected, as well as the rules set out below. In case of non-compliance with the rules, the admins reserve the right to go as far as banning a team.

  • Format

The tournament will take place in BO5 conquest, closed decklists, 4 decks and 1 class ban according to the standard format validated by Blizzard.

Only the captain's account will be eligible for tournament matches.

In the lobby, only the 4 decks played will be present; at the beginning of each match, teams are entitled to request a deck loan to verify compliance.

  • Complaints

Complaints will be addressed to the tournament admins and will only be processed if accompanied by match media (screenshots, replays, etc...).

  • Change in the team

Any change to the team account must be notified in advance to the admins who will validate the change and will only be allowed once per team during the tournament and before the qualifications for Stage 2. This includes but is not limited to

- Adding and/or removing players;

- Changing the team name.

  • Team Affiliation

Each player may only be part of one team. The admins will refuse registrations if this is not the case.

  • Punctuality

Delays will only be tolerated if the admins have been notified and the delay does not exceed 60 minutes. Otherwise, a delay of 15 min will be accepted before the victory by forfeit.

Failure to comply with the above rules may result in a penalty ranging from a forfeit match to permanent exclusion.

Cash prize

At least 1000 CHF to be distributed among the best three.
